How is it made?
Tea tree oil is manufactured by steam distillation of leaves and branches of Melaleuca alternifolia, which was first discovered in Australia by captain James Cook. He saw the indigenous people brewing leaves of some tree in hot water, and, as a true Englishman, called it "tea tree".
